Sharpening Socio Emotional Learning Eduday 2020

"மைக்ரோசாஃப்ட்" கல்வி நிறுவனம் வருடம் தோறும் நடத்தும் "கல்வி மேளா" நிகழ்வு இந்த வருடம் கொரோனா தொற்று  காரணமாக இணையவழியில் நடைபெற்றது. இந்தியா முழுவதும் உள்ள கல்வியாளர்களுடன் கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் சார்ந்த வகுப்பறை அனுபவங்களை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள அருமையான வாய்ப்பு ஏற்படுத்தி கொடுத்த "மைக்ரோசாப்ட்" கல்வி நிறுவனத்திற்கு எனது மனமார்ந்த நன்றிகள்!!

Team Sharpening Socio-Emotional Wellbeing comprising of 6 eminent and diligent educators for various states in India coming together to present their ongoing learning journey Educate Hearts to Educate Minds - ALWAYS BETTER TOGETHER!!! as a collaborative project, we undertook for Microsoft EduDays 2021. Our creative team members are Ms. Arti Chopra, Principal Amity International School Sector 46, Gurugram, Ms. Gunjan Tomar, DPS International Gurugram, Ms, Rajni Bhatia, S.D Public School Pitampura, Ms. Kovleen Middha, Sat Paul Mittal School Ludhiana, Mr. Saravanan Municipal Middle School Ambur and Ms. Soma Singh, Sunbeam School, Annapurna Varanasi.

Dr Kimberley Schonert has addressed this so beautifully. This is how it goes- Educating the heart refers to the importance of not only focusing on developing the cognitive aspects (our minds) but also all the qualities that make us human (our hearts) and ultimately give us meaning in our lives.

Infusing SEL in learning affects the lives of students, teachers, parents and the larger community in meaningful ways that improve relationships and societies as a whole. SEL doesn’t happen overnight. It is a PROCESS NOT a PRODUCT. It is ongoing learning which helps us to understand ourselves and the community better and to make us responsible and ethical decision-makers. Schools and parents that stick with the principles have identified numerous positive outcomes that arise over time such as improved classroom and outside classroom behaviour, better self-management skills and social skills, improved academic results and the list is endless.

So now here we present to you our Project Educating Hearts to Educate Mind- Always Better together.
